2023 Representative Coaching EOIs Open

Expressions of Interest are now open for coaches wishing to lead a Tigers team in 2023. Positions are available for Coaches and Assistant Coaches from U12 through Waratah League Seniors.

Applications open Monday 15 August and close Monday 29 August 2022. EOIs will be collected via Google form.

Trial dates for representative teams will be announced soon.

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Must hold a minimum Club Coach Accreditation (Level 1) or gain one before the start of the 2023 season.
2. Currently a registered member of Basketball New South Wales or must become registered if appointed.
3. Demonstrated experience in coaching junior or senior basketball athletes at representative level.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead a coaching program, including managing support staff, and liaising with SBA on administrative/organisational aspects of the program.
5. Current NSW Working with Children check.
6. Continually adhere to the BNSW Coaches Code of Conduct and Safe Coaching policies and procedures.
7. Willingness to work collaboratively with SBA.
8. Declaration of any Conflict of Interest.

SELECTION PROCESS
1. Applicants are required to complete the Representative Coach and Assistant Coach Application Form.
2. Applications will be reviewed and short-listed by the SBA Director of Coaching and Coach Selection panel.
3. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview with the SBA Director of Coaching and Coach Selection panel.
4. Recommendations will be based on interview, experience, and suitability for team.
5. SBA will advise applicants of the outcome of their EOI.
