WHAT DO THE PLAYERS SAY?

“I love playing basketball! It’s heaps of fun and helps me forget about the things that stress me out.”

“I don’t have to be ‘girly’ when I play basketball. Everyone like’s that I’m tall.”

“Playing with and against my friends is the best bit about basketball. We all play at the same time after school and get to cheer each other on.”

The number of girls playing sport has declined over the past few years and sadly, basketball is no exception. Girls at Shoalhaven Basketball play at the local and representative level but we’re always keen to see more girls on court!

BECOME A REFEREE

We also offer a referee program where lots of our girls develop leadership and earn some money. You don’t even have to play to be a referee. Sign up for our next Beginner’s Referee Course to learn the rules and keep fit.
