A mandatory information session will be held for parents/guardians of successful players after teams are announced. This session is important to ensure you know the commitments of playing representative basketball and the expectations for players, coaches, and spectators. You are required to attend even if your child has played previously.
All teams will require a nominated referee to enter and these are in short supply. Most team referees are a parent/guardian/sibling of a player who steps up to ensure their child’s team can enter. If you have experience as a referee (recent or past) or would like to learn, please email enquiries@shoalhavenbasketball.com.au to be notified of our next course. There’s plenty of time to work on your skills before the rep season starts!
The Team Manager supports the players and coaches by keeping them organised. Every team requires a Manager to nominate. As the Team Manager, you’ll be responsible for liaising with parents in Heja about training times and game day arrival times, maintaining the team kit bag, submitting team lists, checking that shirt numbers are correct on the score sheet, and keeping the water bottles flowing on game days. Most Team Managers also identify suitable accommodation for the team to stay together on away weekends and book team dinners while away.
Team managers will be called for when teams are announced.
Players from other Associations wanting to trial with the Shoalhaven Tigers should complete the online Junior Player Intent to Trial form and register.
