Are you keen to be a part of the Tigers’ future planning? Get involved! The Advisory Sub-Committees support SBA’s Strategic Plan and operational goals. Learn more about each one below.

The strength of our committees relies on a diverse range of people collaborating to support the Association’s goals. There are plenty of opportunities to use your strengths or support your area of interest.

Domestic Competitions & Community Development Advisory Sub-Committee

Do you love basketball and the benefits that it brings to people’s lives? Keen to see our weekly comps continue to grow and improve? This is the committee for you. Help us to strengthen the Tigers community by focusing on the weekly comp and associated activities for junior and senior players.

Representative Advisory Sub-Committee

Chair: Steve Nikolovski
Are you all about the excitement of rep basketball ? Keen to see our rep program thrive? This is the committee for you. Help the Tigers reach their representative potential by focusing on junior and senior rep.

Coaching Advisory Sub-Committee

Chair: Geoff Gibbs
Does the art of coaching make you tick? Keen to contribute to the development of the Junior Development Program? Help the Tigers coaching program to level up across the domestic and representative space by focusing on all things coaching.

Technical Officials Advisory Sub-Committee

Chair: Greg Davids
Are you passionate about supporting the officials who make the game possible? Keen to see the Tigers continue progressing in this area? Then this is the committee for you. Help us provide the best quality basketball experience across domestic and rep by building the capacity of our technical crew.

Key Info

  • Each committee will be Chaired by a Board member with five (5) members in total.
  • The Board will appoint committee members to ensure broad representation, maximise collaboration, and manage Conflicts of Interest.
  • Appointments will be for one (1) year.
  • The committee will meet a minimum of four (4) times per year between February and November.
  • The committee will make recommendations to the Board for consideration and determination in light of the full SBA context.
  • Previous committees, including Junior Committee and Waratah Committee, will cease to operate.
  • Current Chairs will be in place until the next AGM.
