Winter 2026 Domestic Competitions

Registration for Winter 2026 Domestic Competitions is now open!

The Winter season consists of 20 weeks, running for all of term 2 & 3 and breaking during the school holidays. Remember, when you register you are committing to both terms!

JUNIOR GIRLS

This season the junior girls’ competitions are returning to a two term (20 week) season with a Muster on the first week of the season. The Muster is an important and exciting part of the season. All registered players will attend the stadium, where they will be placed into teams and participate in mini games. During these games, our coaches will assess players and move them between groups as needed to ensure teams are balanced and fair for the season ahead.

The competition will start the following week; you will be notified of your team beforehand via email. To attend Muster players must have paid their season fees.

NOMINATE A TEAM!
Schools and Summer Sports Clubs can still nominate a team by completing a quick Google Form, after that, SBA takes care of everything: registration, fees, and providing coaches (unless a parent or teacher would like to step in). Team nominations are due by Sunday 5 April.

DON’T HAVE A TEAM?
Don’t have a team organised but still want to play? Simply register for the competition and SBA will place you in a team at Muster.

MUSTER DATES & TIMES

Players aged 17yo+ can join a team or create and nominate their own team for the Senior Women Competition, see details below.

GIRLS FEES & REGISTRATION
Registration for our Winter 2026 Competitions will open on Monday 9 March 2026. Fees are per player and are made up of two components, Membership and Season fees.

Membership:
8-11yo: $88 (yearly) OR $63 (6 monthly)
12yo+: $101 (yearly) OR $76 (6 monthly)

Season Fees: $285

Domestic playing singlet: $55.00 – This can be purchased at the SBA office or through Basketball Connect when registering. Once purchased, singlets can be collected from the SBA office.

Payment Options:

• Membership – If due, Membership will be automatically applied, to the total registration fee, although the registration platform (Basketball Connect) does not explicitly say this.
• In full – Upfront payment at the time of registration
• Instalments – Two instalments – one to be paid at the time of registration and the second instalment will be automatically direct debited on Thursday 2 July.
• Payment Plan – Email enquiries@shoalhavenbasketball.com.au to receive a personalised link to create a customised payment plan through Basketball Connect
• Active Kids Vouchers are accepted – If you can’t process your AKV through Basketball Connect, contact the office BEFORE registering and we can manually process these.

U12 BOYS – NOMINATE A TEAM!
SBA is excited to invite local schools and sporting clubs to nominate a team for our U12 Boys competition to help grow the game and create more opportunities for young athletes. We’re encouraging current players to be ambassadors! Talk to your school, invite your friends, and help form a team. Introducing players at the U12 level builds skills, confidence, and a love of the game, setting them up to continue through the older age groups.

Schools and Sports Clubs can nominate a team by completing a quick Google Form, after that, SBA takes care of everything: registration, fees, and providing coaches (unless a parent or teacher would like to step in). Team nominations are due by Sunday 5 April.

The option to nominate a team is open to U12 Boys only. The form can be completed by a teacher or parent.

Don’t have a team organised but still want to play? Simply register for the competition and SBA will place you in a team.

MUSTER DATES & TIMES

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

• Game times may differ from Muster times. Younger age groups will be given earlier time slots.
• All players registered by Muster will be placed on a team. SBA cannot guarantee participation for late registrations. Speak to the office before registering after Muster.     
• SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS REQUEST: If your child would like to play with another, you can request so by completing this form by Sunday 19 April. SBA will take said requests into consideration when organising teams, however we cannot guarantee your request will be met. Please note, requests made after this date will not be considered. • U10S COMP: SBA Runs an U10s competition as a part of our Aussie Hoops Program on Thursday Afternoons. Contact the office for more info!

JUNIOR PLAYER MOVEMENT REQUESTS (PLAYERS PLAYING UP OR DOWN AN AGE GROUP)
If you are looking to play in a competition instead of or in addition to your age group, you will need to complete a Junior Player Movement Request form. These requests are approved on a season-by-season basis so payers who have been approved for Summer 25/26 season will need to submit a new request for Winter 2026. SENIORS & U19 BOYS

TEAM NOMINATIONS
The Senior & U19 Boys Competitions will kick off on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, running for 20 weeks across two school terms (break during the school holidays). Teams are created and nominated by the players, with the team delegate submitting nominations via the Google form below.

Team Nominations close on Sunday 5 April. Nominations after this date may not be accepted.

JUNIOR PLAYER MOVEMENT REQUESTS (JUNIOR PLAYERS PLAYING IN SENIORS)
If you are a junior player looking to play in a Senior competition instead of or in addition to your age group, you will need to complete a Junior Player Movement Request form. These requests are approved on a season-by-season basis so payers who have been approved for Summer 25/26 season will need to submit a new request for Winter 2026.

• Membership 12yo+: $101 (yearly) OR $76 (6 monthly); AND
• Senior Season Fees: $342; OR
• U19 Boys Season Fees: $285

Note: Players playing in two competitions will receive a 50% discount off the second competition. Contact the office to receive your discount.
